ABOUT ME

I have my BA in psychology from Brandeis University, my master's degree in special education from Lesley University, and training and a practicum in the Orton-Gillingham Approach. I worked as a classroom teacher, resource room teacher, and intervention teacher before becoming a certified Orton-Gillingham Tutor (A/AOGPE). As an OG tutor, I went into a number of schools to work with the students who struggle the most. I teach both in-person and virtually.

The feedback that I have received from parents and educators is that my lessons are fun, rigorous and effective. Also, my calm, patient and positive demeanor makes students feel comfortable with material that is very difficult for them.  I use many games and apps to keep students invested.

The Orton-Gillingham Approach is also called Structured Literacy. Please click the link below for more information.
